Fundraising Acheivement
1st place - Most Donations Collected
As the newly appointed Program Director of California Clubhouse, I spearheaded a monumental fundraising campaign during Clubhouse International's annual giving day event, leading a diverse committee composed of board members, the executive director, and members of our community living with a variety of severe mental illnesses. Over an intensive 10-day period, we engaged in a dynamic series of fundraising activities, successfully raising nearly $50,000, which secured us first place for the most donations collected globally among participating clubhouses.
In my role as the project manager of the various campaign efforts, I honorably led the fundraising committee through the multifaceted fundraising initiatives spanning the full extent of the campaign. Additionally, I strategically initiated the assembly of member-driven working groups that developed effective cold calling scripts, outreach email templates, strategic marketing plans, and a variety of engaging cinematic content for our social media campaigns. The working groups I led, comprised of hardworking members with a range of severe mental illnesses (SMI) and diverse lived experiences, successfully executed over 150 cold calls and sent more than 300 emails. Furthermore, I directed multiple community canvassing days, significantly enhancing our outreach efforts.
Drawing on my event planning expertise from my initial career role, I also launched a community initiative, the Lived Experiences Artist's Exhibit, which served as a kickoff for our fundraising efforts. This well-attended event, featuring over 100 guests including county supervisors, local organizations, nonprofits, and stakeholders, included appetizers, arts and crafts activities, and an exhibition of over 50 canvases created by artists from our community and the broader San Mateo County. These artists, all of whom identified with having 'lived experiences,' enriched the event and enhanced community engagement, which was pivotal in driving our fundraising success.

Through the execution of a strategic marketing campaign, an unforgettable community-engaging fundraising event, weekly meetings with committees for planning initiatives, and several creative & collaborative work sessions, our Community Lived Experiences Artist's Exhibition was a uniting effort, one I am proud to have shared.
